Droid OTA Update will include Live Wallpapers

This may be a huge deal to some people...but just for the record, I have live wallpapers on my rooted and ROM'd Droid and I can tell you this much:

They are cool for about five minutes, and then you realize that they lag the phone (even if only slightly) and most of your icons cover them up anyhow.

But if you care about this sort of thing for your phone for whatever reason:

We just received this tip from AndroidSPIN user John… Thanks John about the upcoming Android 2.1 update for the Motorola DROID.

Drum roll please…..

According to John, The Motorola DROID 2.1 update (Android 2.1 ESE53) will include live wallpapers. We were given this link to a YouTube video that shows a Motorola DROID running 2.1 with Live Wallpapers. There is no real way to tell what build this is running.

Not too exciting, but a fun feature to have at least!
